Coastal Living Homes Commitment to the Environment

As the first EarthCraft and ENERGY STAR homebuilder in the Savannah area, Coastal Living Homes has proven its commitment to the environment. These programs are a voluntary green building program and serve as a blueprint for healthy, efficient, sustainable homes. Our homes meet strict energy-efficiency guidelines and can save 30%-40% on energy costs compared to a conventionally built home.

In conjunction with these programs, we use the highest quality materials and outstanding craftsmen including Icynene foam insulation. It minimizes air leakage for increased energy efficiency, creates a healthier indoor environment, reduces airborne sounds and offers greater design freedom.

In addition, construction debris such as wood, drywall, brick, block, asphalt shingles, ceramic tile and wallboard are materials recycled on the jobsite through Contractor’s Recycling. The wood and drywall are used for mulch in landscaping and erosion prevention, chips from masonry are used as driveway fills, and ground wallboard is used as a soil additive to make solid clay permeable.

It is our mission to build homes designed to reduce your utility bills and protect the environment. Coastal Living Homes – the environmentally responsible homebuilder.
